If a food product contains any of the following allergens then the label must say so clearly and list them in the ingredients list:
  • Celery
  • Cereals containing gluten (incl' wheat, rye, barley and oats)
  • Crustaceans (incl' prawns, crab and lobster)
  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Lupin (legume from the same family as peanuts)
  • Milk
  • Molluscs (including squid, mussels, cockles, whelks and snails)
  • Mustard
  • Nuts
  • Peanuts
  • Sesame seeds
  • Soya beans
  • Sulphur dioxide or sulphites [at levels above 10mg per kilogram or per litre]
